Room Information at the Pilgrim Centre

The Pilgrim Centre has various size rooms, the largest holds 200 people - follow the  Prices  link to see hire charges.

Below is a description of each of our rooms.  Please do not hesitate to  contact us  if we can help you further.  Rooms will normally be ready for your arrival time - please tell us how you would like your room set-up, eg in 'Theatre', 'Board: Room' or 'Circle' style.

Small Meeting Room 1

Room Info Small Meeting Room 1 is located on the second floor of the Centre.  It is carpeted and well insulated from outside noises.  There is natural light and ventilation from opening windows.  Windows have blinds to reduce brightness for screen presentations.  This room has a built-in Screen which is free of charge. Theatre:  25 Circle:  20 Board:  8.

Large Meeting Room

Room Info The Large Meeting Room is located on the second floor of the Centre.  It is carpeted and well insulated from outside noises.  There is natural light and ventilation from opening windows.  Windows have blinds to reduce brightness for screen presentations  This room has a built-in Screen which is free of charge. Gallery

Room Info The Gallery can be hired along with either Small Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 or the Large Meeting Room.  It is not suitable as a meeting room in its own right due to access being needed to other rooms via the Gallery. The Gallery is ideal for break-out sessions during meetings or simply to keep refreshments or equipment at hand. The Gallery is carpeted and well lit.  One entire wall of the Gallery has windows overlooking the Worship Area which provides additional lighting and where onlookers can watch the activities below.

Upper Meeting Room

Room Info Please Note - the Upper Meeting Room is only accessible by stairs  and therefore only suitable for people able to walk up these stairs. The Upper Meeting Room is rectangular, the floor is carpeted and has a kitchenette area.  One wall has opening windows. Theatre:  40 Circle:  30 Board:  16.

Activity Hall

Room Info The Activity Hall is on the first floor of the Pilgrim Centre.  It has a hard floor and has plenty of natural lighting. The Activity Hall is often used with the Worship Area to make a much larger space - see later entry. Theatre:  60 Circle:  55 Board:  30.

Worship Area

Room Info The Worship Area is on the first floor of the Pilgrim Centre.  The area is carpeted and has plenty of natural lighting through its skylight and glass doors. The Worship Area also has a platform making it viable for a speaker to be seen by many people or for putting on presentations or shows.  There is a PA system, a large screen and a data projector for lap-top linked presentations.  The worship area has a piano and organ in situ. There is a foyer just outside the worship area which is ideal for welcoming visitors or for signing-in books etc and useful for break-out sessions. When combined with the Activity Hall it can hold 200 people seated (see photos below). Worship Area and Activity Hall combined

There is a sound-proof fold-back wall between the Worship Area and the Activity Hall.  When the wall is removed it makes one room large enough to hold 200 people seated.  There is plenty of natural lighting and the floor is partly carpeted.
